Bookstore Associate at Oxford Exchange – Tampa, Florida

Oxford Exchange is looking for a Bookstore Associate. The ideal candidate would have a passion for books and Independent Bookstores, excellent communication skills and be very customer service focused. Candidates must be available to work weekend shifts and occasional evening shifts when needed for events.

• Customer service: Helping customers find books, making recommendations, and processing transactions
• Organization: Managing inventory, restocking shelves, and arranging displays
• Events: Assisting with book signings, book clubs and author events.
• Online orders: Handling online orders and deliveries
• Store maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining the store
• Staff Management: Scheduling and assisting the Retail Director in staff management
• Merchandising: Assisting with ordering, receiving, and merchandising merchandise
• Inventory: Assisting with monthly store inventory

General physical demands of the position:

• Retail Associates must be able to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds and stand for long periods of time.
