Admissions Attendant/Birthday Host at WonderWorks – Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

WonderWorks is an indoor amusement park that combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands-on exhibits that challenge the mind and spark the imagination.
WonderWorks (location) is looking for Admissions Attendants/Birthday Host to join our team! Our Admissions Attendants are the first to interact with our guests as they welcome them into the adventure of the upside-down building. Admissions Attendants are an intrinsic part of positive ticket sale interactions including sharing valuable information with guests, setting the tone for the WONDERful experiences they have in store for them inside the attraction!
As a Birthday Host you can be the life of the party for our partygoers! From setup to cleanup, Birthday Hosts create WONDERful experiences for guests by orchestrating interactive games and serving delicious treats!
Admissions Attendant Responsibilities:

• Greet, welcome, and interact with all guests as they enter and exit the attraction
• Answer guest questions and offer assistance in a friendly manner that provides exceptional customer service
• Accurately process transactions through a point-of-sale system including proper cash handling in a high-volume environment
• Upsell guests on additional services offered at the point of sale including combo tickets, souvenir books, and ticketed shows if applicable
• Answer phones and courteously redirect calls to the appropriate department
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Birthday Host Responsibilities:

• Greet, interact with, and provide exceptional guest service to party guests with a positive, upbeat attitude
• Check in party group and guide them to party area
• Set up the birthday room based on party package and clean up after each party
• Assist with any party package add-ons and verify that all remaining balances have been collected
• Serve food and drinks to all party guests
• Monitor to make sure the party runs smoothly and on schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Ability to anticipate guest needs
• Observational skills to ensure safe practices and recognize guest needs
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change

• Ability to stand or walk throughout the work area for prolonged periods

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather conditions required
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous themed entertainment and sales experience is preferred
