Offshore Aviation Group is seeking an Able-Bodied Seaman (AB) for our operation aboard the OAG Navigator.

About You
This person will be team-oriented, adaptable, dynamic, and embody the common goal of operating a growing fleet of commercial vessels supporting the Department of Defense and other projects.
About the Position
The AB Seaman will be responsible for assisting with the vessel's daily operations, ensuring safe navigation, and maintaining the ship's cleanliness and safety. They assist third-party clients as needed, operating critical deck machinery for the project.
The Able-Bodied Seaman will promote good working relationships with other departments, third-party personnel, and customer representatives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Deck Operations:
- Assist in handling and securing ropes, lines, and cargo
- Maintain and clean deck equipment and machinery
- Operate winches, cranes, and deck machinery
- Assist in anchoring, mooring, and unmooring
Watchkeeping:
- Stand watch and assist navigation
- Report hazards and weather changes
- Monitor vessel position
Safety & Emergency Response:
- Ensure safety equipment is operational
- Participate in drills
- Respond to emergencies
Maintenance & Cleaning:
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep
- Conduct minor repairs
- Maintain vessel cleanliness
Cargo Handling:
- Assist with loading/unloading
- Secure cargo properly
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
- Minimum Able Bodied Seaman Special
- Valid U.S. Passport
- Valid USCG Medical Certificate
- Valid TWIC Card
- Ability to pass a physical exam
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $375/day (full-time)
Hitch: 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off
