Residential Electrician at BK Management – Lafayette, Indiana

Job Overview:

• Company: BK Management.

• Salary/Pay Rate: $25 to $30 per hour plus Performance Bonus.

• Location: Lafayette, IN (Onsite).

• Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.

• Project Scope: Residential Electrical Maintenance and Upgrades.

• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity: You will serve as the primary electrical expert within our Field Operations team, taking full ownership of the safety and functionality of residential power systems. This role offers the chance to apply your technical mastery to a diverse portfolio of properties where your problem-solving skills directly improve tenant living experiences.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Diagnosed and repaired complex residential electrical systems including breakers, wiring, and panel troubleshooting.

• Executed precise electrical upgrades for unit turns and make-readies to ensure 100% code compliance for new tenants.

• Installed high-efficiency lighting, ceiling fans, and safety devices such as GFCI/AFCI and smoke detectors.

• Managed a high volume of maintenance work orders with a focus on speed, accuracy, and safety.

• Evaluated existing property infrastructure to identify and report needs for major service upgrades or permit-required work.

• Mentored team members on basic electrical safety while maintaining a safe work environment under physical demands.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of professional residential electrical experience.

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record for reliable travel between sites.

• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, climbing, and crawling in tight residential spaces.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Advanced knowledge of local Indiana residential building codes and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

• Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues to management and residents.
