This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the planning and execution of a diverse portfolio of conferences, tradeshows, advisory boards, and corporate events. You will serve as the central point of contact for event operations, ensuring each activation aligns with business goals and drives measurable results. The role requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple high-volume events simultaneously. You will collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams to deliver engaging experiences, optimize ROI, and strengthen brand presence. This position also provides the opportunity to influence event strategy, improve processes, and introduce innovative approaches that elevate the participant experience. Travel and on-site event support will be part of the role, offering exposure to a variety of venues and professional networks.
- Own the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of conferences, tradeshows, advisory boards, and corporate events
- Maintain and continuously update the annual event calendar, providing visibility into upcoming opportunities for leadership and sales teams
- Evaluate event ROI using quantitative and qualitative metrics, and make data-driven recommendations for future investments
- Manage all logistical elements including vendor coordination, booth design, travel, and on-site execution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align messaging, staffing, and promotional materials for each event
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and negotiate contracts while managing event budgets
- Track and report on event performance against KPIs, conduct post-event debriefs, and implement process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5–7 years of event planning experience managing a high-volume event portfolio (20+ events annually)
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and budgets
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including briefing senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent), project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, Wrike, Monday.com), and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot)
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce), hybrid/virtual events, and budget management
- CMP or CSEP certification, and agency/vendor management experience are a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 20%, including occasional weekends for on-site event support
