Courier,Pharmacy at Westchester Medical Center – Valhalla, New York

Responsibilities:

• Makes regular stops at various offices, patient units, hospital divisions and designated areas for pickup and delivery of mail, lab specimens, x-rays, medical charts and medications, and receives incoming patient mail
• Reviews and separates mail for delivery
• Delivers mail and items to correct locations throughout hospital and outside locations in a timely manner
• Transports patients to and from patient units for tests, procedures and therapeutic activities
• Assists patients to and from hospital bed
• Answers department telephone, provides information, refers telephone calls to appropriate staff members
• Distributes and completes forms required for patient transport and mail services
• Monitors and documents deliveries
• Drives delivery vehicles as needed for special deliveries

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience: Minimum one year working as a courier, preferably six months in a hospital setting.

Education: High School Diploma
