We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Painter who takes pride in flawless finishes, understands coatings at a technical level, and knows that quality is in the details.

🔧 What You’ll DoYou’ll own the finish, from prep to final coat:

Prepare surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and solvent cleaning methodsApply industrial coatings including epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich, and multi-layer systemsWork with top-tier systems like AkzoNobel, PPG, Sherwin-Williams, Sikkens, and AxaltaMix paints, thinners, and catalysts per technical data sheets (TDS)Spray using airless, conventional, and HVLP systemsHit target dry film thickness (DFT) and deliver a clean, consistent finishIdentify and correct defects like runs, fisheyes, orange peel, and morePaint hydraulic cylinders, tubing, valve blocks, and structural componentsPerform touch-ups and repairs following adhesion testingMaintain equipment and keep your work area clean and organizedWork closely with leads and supervisors to keep production moving🎯 What You BringMinimum of 2 years of industrial painting experience (automotive or manufacturing preferred)Ability to read and follow paint specs, drawings, and work instructionsExperience with multi-part coating systems and proper mixing techniquesStrong understanding of spray equipment setup and adjustmentsFamiliarity with inspection tools like wet film gauges and DFT gaugesKnowledge of SSPC, NACE, or ISO surface prep standards is a plusCertification or trade testing is a bonus (we’ll also test hands-on skills before hire)🛠️ Technical Know-HowMixing custom paint formulas using toners and base convertersMonitoring and adjusting paint viscosityWorking under QA/QC inspection standardsUnderstanding coating performance and finish quality expectations⚠️ Safety Matters HereFollow strict HSE standards in a solvent-based environmentProper use of PPE including respirators and protective gearComfortable working in industrial conditions, including heat, confined spaces, and heights💪 What Makes You a FitDetail-oriented, you don’t cut corners on qualityReliable, team-focused, and disciplined in your workPhysically capable and safety-mindedFlexible to work overtime, nights, or weekends when needed🏭 Work EnvironmentIndustrial manufacturing settingExposure to fumes, noise, dust, and moving equipmentDay or night shifts depending on production needs🔩 Physical RequirementsLift and move up to 50 lbs regularlyStand, walk, climb, bend, and reach throughout the shiftStrong visual ability, including depth perception and focusWhy Texas Hydraulics?Because what we build matters, and how we build it matters just as much.
