SECURITY TECHNICIAN at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center – Tampa, Florida

Position Highlights:

The Security Technician’s role is to repair physical security systems, Internet/Network Connectivity related to those systems, diagnose and repair on-site hardware and software involving Access Control Systems, Video Systems (analog and IP), Security Alarm Systems and other low and high voltage electronics. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in physical security systems, relays, low and high voltage, networking, and information technology. The candidate will also assist in fire watches where needed. The right candidate must possess excellent customer relationship skills and be a great team player.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair physical security systems at the designated Moffitt Location in an efficient and timely manner with the objective of restoring systems to full functionality
• Perform preventative maintenance as required by service and maintenance contract
• Trouble-shoot issues remotely utilizing provided software and an Internet connection
• Travel to all Moffitt locations throughout Florida on a continuous day to day basis
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, if required.
• Work independently to research and resolve issues with equipment

Credentials and Qualifications:

• High School Education/GED required.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a related position/field. Knowledge, skills, or experience in Panasonic CCTV, Access Control and Lenel/S2 Security Systems.
  • Must have video security systems and camera installation experience within a healthcare facility along with knowledge and experience in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Valid driver’s license is required. Must obtain Florida license within 6 months of employment.

Preferred

• Knowledge, skills, or experience in Networking & Programming a plus.
• Panasonic IPRO Certification, Lenel/S2 Access Control Certification
• Associate’s Degree in computer networking or similar.
