Head Coach, Boys Basketball-C Team at THE BLAKE SCHOOL – Hopkins, Minnesota

Blake is seeking a dedicated and passionate C Boys' Basketball Coach for the upcoming 2025-2026 season. We're looking for a coach who is committed to developing young athletes both on and off the court. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and strategy, as well as a proven ability to mentor and inspire high school students.

This is a seasonal, part-time position that runs from November to March. The season includes practices and games.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and Development: Plan and conduct practices that focus on skill development, team strategy, and player conditioning.
• Game Management: Coach the team during all scheduled games, including home and away contests.
• Player Mentorship: Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and accountability.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of attendance and communicate effectively with players, parents, and the athletic department.
• Safety: Ensure the safety of all student-athletes by adhering to school and Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) rules and regulations.

• Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and game strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to positively influence and motivate young athletes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained before the start of the season.
