RN Behavioral Health – Charge Nurse (Night Shift, Weekends– $10K Sign-On Bonus – Randallstown, MD at LifeBridge Health – Randallstown, Maryland

*Position will be located in the Psych ED*

In this RN Behavioral Health Charge Nurse role at Northwest Hospital, you’ll step into a night-shift leadership position that offers:

Department and Units

• Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) – 23-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit
• 4A Unit – 12-bed adult behavioral health unit
• Emergency Department Psychiatric Pods (North Pod and West Pod)
  • Two 6-bed units serving adults, adolescents, and children in acute psychiatric crisis
• Nursing staff are cross-trained across all areas

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as Charge Nurse RN during assigned night shifts
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and unit operations
• Perform comprehensive psychiatric nursing assessments
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition changes
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and structured care environment
• Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and care teams

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent formal education
• 1–3 years of RN experience (behavioral health or inpatient experience preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical specialty
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Behavioral Health nursing certification required within 3–5 years of hire
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
