About This Position
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to join our team as Ticket Checkers. Ticket Checkers play an important role in ensuring a smooth guest experience by verifying lift access, assisting guests with ticket and pass inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service at mountain access points.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Check lift tickets and season passes to ensure validity and proper use.
Ensure all scanning is done in a consistent and accurate manner.
Provide guests with information about ticketing, lift access, and mountain operations.
Assist guests with scanning issues or direct them to Guest Services for support.
Monitor lift lines and loading areas to ensure orderly and safe flow.
Report ticketing issues, lost passes, or fraudulent use to supervisors.
Maintain a clean and organized work area around lift terminals and scanning zones.
Represent Mt. Shasta Ski Park positively and uphold guest service standards.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Friendly, approachable, and able to engage positively with guests.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to stand for long periods and perform light physical activity.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Previous customer service or outdoor work experience preferred, but not required (training provided).
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $18.00 $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Seasonal position with both full-time and part-time shifts available.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods.
