Physical Therapist Assistant at Glenvue Operations LLC – Glennville, Georgia

**Seeking PRN-PTA**

General Purpose:

Administers physical therapy treatments under supervision of Registered Physical Therapist in accordance with federal, state and professional standards. Follows Glenvue policies and procedures. Demonstrates professional and legal behaviors with adherence to HIPPA regulations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Treat patients with various deficits including, but not limited to stroke, amputations, neurological disorders and orthopedics. Maintain and complete patient records in timely manner.
• Communicate in a competent manner with patients, family members, caregivers and practitioners to
• provide appropriate instruction and education.
• Enter physical therapy charges daily in an accurate manner. Consistently provide the appropriate therapy minutes projected for patients. Effectively communicate when it is not possible due to changes in patient status.
• Consistent performance of safe techniques, recognition of precautions and contraindications with the ability to modify approaches and accurately monitor patient responses.
• Maintains and increases professional competency by participating in continued education.
• Refer to other disciplines when indicated.
• Display exemplary customer service skills.
• Follow all safety policies to assure resident safety.

Credentials:

• Holds an associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
• Holds valid state licensure

Physical Requirements:

• Physical strength and mobility to meet demands of job
• Able to meet employee health requirements.
• Vision and hearing adequate to perform job requirements.
• Able to lift throughout the day.
• Frequent sitting and standing.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions, hostile and emotional upset residents, family members, personneland visitors. Works beyond normal working hours, on weekend and holidays. Is subject to injury from falls. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB, and the AIDS and hepititus B viruses.
