WATER DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR- SEASONAL at Park City Municipal Corporation – Park City, Utah

SALARY RANGE $25-$32 PER HOUR

The Park City Public Utilities Department is seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Seasonal Water Operators (4 seasonal roles available). In this role, Seasonal Water Operators will work under the supervision of the Water Distribution Supervisors to perform essential tasks that help safeguard public health. This includes operating and maintaining the City’s water distribution system while providing excellent service to the community. This is a seasonal position that runs through the spring, summer, and fall months.

EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:
• Conducts inspections, repairs, and maintenance on water valves and fire hydrants.
• Assists with the repairs and maintenance of water lines and a wide variety of other water infrastructure.
• Assists with ongoing capital improvement or development projects.
• May be assigned a wide variety of other assignments based on the needs of the department.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred:
• Experienced in operating a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Skilled driver with the ability to tow and back up a variety of small trailers and equipment.
• Experience operating and conducting maintenance on water main valves and fire hydrants.
