SECURITY OFFICER at Homes Of Oakridge Inc – Des Moines, Iowa

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Patrols campus to ensure safe conditions in external and internal areas; checks empty units and community spaces for security and integrity of unit; locks and unlocks buildings and gates; enforces parking regulations, issues tickets, and monitors for any security concerns.
2. Responds to requests for emergency and non-emergency assistance from tenants, police, EMT’s or other personnel; responds to alarms or tenant’s concerns by resolving the issue or calling in appropriate personnel for resolution and/or assistance.
3. Resolves disputes/incidents involving members of the Oakridge Community and notifies law enforcement in the event of escalation.
4. Monitors camera system, operating equipment and software.
5. Identifies current or potential safety /security issues during rounds including property damage and maintenance; reports concerns / issues to Director of Security.
6. Delivers tenant notices.
7. Completes shift, incident and other various reports.
8. May assist in snow removal around office building during inclement weather.
9. Other duties as assigned.
