About This Position

Summary:
Support the manufacturing department by performing a variety of routine or standard braze and annealing inspection operations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide by using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to read and interpret measuring devices (calipers, rulers, etc.).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform brazing operations of a semi-skilled nature to build production assemblies.
• Prepares, organizes and controls flow of material to, through and from brazing furnaces.
• Operate mechanical or electrical machinery in completion of processes.
• Follows operational sequence as specified by verbal, written, and visual aids.
• Assembles and applies brazing paste on various components where operation and sequence are specified by verbal, written and visual aids.
• Substitutes for any other line position as needed.
• Uses hand tools and/ or inspection test equipment.
• Inspects material as instructed to ensure customer and Bluewater specifications are maintained.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Detects and reports problems with safety, quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor.
• Prepares routine documentation accurately.
LANGUAGE AND REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information on one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three (1-3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills: Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Able to perform these operations using units of USD currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat.
