Custodial Technician in Augusta, Georgia at Augusta Industrial Services

The Custodial Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment for employees, customers, and visitors. This position supports daily operations by ensuring facilities are well-maintained, organized, and ready for use. While this is an entry-level role, it requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility, as the quality of this work directly impacts the workplace experience for everyone at AIS.

Reports To: Facilities Manager

Areas of Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and processes while always acting in a safe manner.
• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, offices, and restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles; ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Restock restroom and breakroom supplies.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of entryways and outdoor areas assigned.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is required.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs promptly.
• Uphold AIS Core Values: Integrity, Accountability, Respect, and Service in all aspects of the role.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
