POSITION SUMMARY
Teller Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and modeling the highest level of customer service while managing the teller operational staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Greeting customers and facilitating a welcoming and customer-focused environment.
Trains new Tellers to ensure procedures are understood and executed properly to adherer to internal controls.
Perform monthly surprise cash audits as well as month-end audit procedures.
Responding to customer inquiries and concerns and creating positive solutions.
Ensure teller area adheres to internal controls, internally developed audit, compliance & operational procedures
Identify and keeps tellers informed of areas that provide potential risk or loss; such as counterfeit bills, forgeries, stolen checks, etc.
Oversee and supervise teller activities, including but not limited to: Monitoring teller’s outages, cash limits, transaction numbers, cash orders, surprise cash counts, etc.
Coach staff to achieve customer service, referral and performance goals
Manages schedule, monitors overtime and assigns tasks as needed.
Promote BancFirst services through cross selling banking products to new and existing clientele.
Extraordinary customer service will be required at all times.
Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High School degree or equivalent
2-3 years of Teller experience
Excellent customer service skills, including oral and written communication
Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to lead others
Ability to lead, motivate and coach staff
Ability to work effectively as a team member and with customers
Knowledge of teller cash limits, teller machines, and preparation of teller work
Ability to balance teller cash and maintain acceptable balancing percentages as defined by Management
Strong work ethic and high integrity
Strong time management skills
Strong computer skills and proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work various hours as assigned to meet the needs of the business (open/close branch) and follow security procedures
Ability to perform in a highly sensitive environment, deal with confidential matters and meet deadlines
Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant use of computer screens
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear
Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday
Long periods of typing and repetitive motion
Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10-25 pounds (cash canisters, coin boxes/bags)
