Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Mortgage Closer Lead at our Scottsdale, AZ location.

Description:
The Mortgage Closer Lead is responsible for specific Mortgage Closing Department responsibilities as assigned by management to train, support and develop Mortgage Closers as well as organize, check and complete closing files. This position provides Mortgage Closer colleagues with a subject matter expert for question and best practices and customers with smooth, timely and compliant closings for their homes.
Responsibilities:
- Produce, collect, and organize closing documents for each closing file. Review each closing file to verify documents are present, accurate, properly calculated, compliant and sufficiently complete for closing. Ensure closing conditions are met.
- Work with Guardian employees, executives, and business partners (e.g., title company, etc.) to schedule loan closing in a timely, accurate and compliant manner. Inform Loan Officers of any expected funding conditions prior to funding.
- Use a variety of computer programs and applications for document production, organization, research, communications, and other assorted tasks.
- Meet ongoing deadlines for closing, verification, and monitor for expiring locks, etc.
- Meet rules, obligations, timelines, and deadlines to comply with company policy, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs, and state and federal laws and regulations. Knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional loan programs as well as RESPA will be required.
Education / Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least 2 to 5 years of direct closing experience.
- Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must possess multi-tasking skills.
Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
Working Conditions
The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work-related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
