Migratory Bird Monitoring & Reporting at LG2 Environmental Solutions Inc – Camden County, Georgia

LG2 Environmental Solutions (LG2) provides a wide range of quality, responsive environmental services across the United States. Their capabilities include archaeological and cultural resource assessments (terrestrial and underwater), natural resource assessment, and management.

LG2 has an immediate opening for an experienced Monitor in Camden County, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use of personal vehicle to conduct early morning migratory bird/seabird/shorebird monitoring surveys.
• The monitoring location is not located in an off-road location, but some grass/dirt roads may need to be driven.
• Advise onsite construction personnel of the locations of any onsite bird nesting and any precautionary measures needed to avoid nesting disturbances.
• Install bird nesting deterrent measures in potentially suitable bird nesting habitats.
• Submit daily reporting to Project Managers.
• Fill out survey data to the Florida Shorebird Database (FSD), if requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience identifying migratory bird/seabird/shorebird avian species.
• Experience identifying migratory bird/seabird/shorebird nesting habitats and behaviors.
• Experience identifying migratory bird/seabird/shorebird nests.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant job experience or higher education coursework.
• Experience operating boats.

Compensation Range:

• Part-time field work expected to be 5 hrs/day.
• $30/hour
