About This Position
Arch Dental Assistant School – Birmingham, AL is hiring a Part-Time Dental Assistant Instructor for our hybrid, 10-week training program.
- Schedule:
One weekday evening per week online (6:00–8:00 PM or 7:00–9:00 PM, local time)
One weekend per month (Saturday + Sunday), 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, at our office location in-person.
- Location: Birmingham, AL (Hybrid: Online + In-Person)
- Compensation: $24–$26/hr, depending on experience
- Equipment: Laptop provided for work purposes
What You'll Do
- Lead live online classes
- Demonstrate chairside procedures and clinical techniques
- Teach radiology fundamentals and safety protocols
- Coach students during hands-on lab practice
- Provide performance feedback and skills assessments
- Maintain infection control and classroom safety standards
- Foster a supportive, structured learning environment

Requirements:- 5+ years of dental assisting or chairside experience (DA, RDA, or EFDA welcome)
- Active Radiology Certification
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Strong communicator: able to explain clinical procedures clearly to learners with no prior experience
- Able to commute to location(s)
Nice-to-haves: prior teaching or mentoring experience, Dentrix familiarity, leadership background
