Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level nursing duties for patients served in the clinical areas noted below.

Qualifications

Education

• Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Associate's degree in Nursing

• Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Preferred

  • Two years of experience in Medical/Surgical Oncology

Certification/Licensure:

• Required

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License, with authorization to practice in the State of Texas

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

    • Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date

  • ONS/Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card

    • Must obtain within six (6) weeks of start date

  • Oncology nursing competency review- demonstrate ongoing education by earning 12 cancer related continuing nursing education contact hours

    • Must obtain within one (1) year of hire and subject to review once a year
