Veterinary Assistant at Ethos Veterinary Health – Waukesha, Wisconsin

WVRC Waukesha is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to support our Emergency department!

The Veterinary Technician Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff.  Must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions.  Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.
 
Schedule and Compensation: 

• This position is for third shift

• 3 twelve hour shifts each week, start time 10-11pm

• Schedule include every other weekend and 4 Holidays per year 

• Pay starts at $16.50 an hour and may be higher depending on experience

• Applicable shift differential will apply; 4pm-12a $3.00/hr, 12a-8a $5.00/hr

Essential Functions:
 
Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required.  Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.  
 
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Restraining of patients

• Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.

• Stocking the treatment areas

• Laundry

• Taking patients outside

• Feeding patients

Qualifications:

• Must have worked or volunteered working with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar
