Frank Beer Distributors in Middleton, WI is now hiring a Brand Manager. The team members of Frank Beer Distributors are committed, innovative leaders of the beverage industry through marketing, selling, distributing, merchandising, and servicing quality products to our valued customers.
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for the beverage industry? As a Brand Manager, you will be the driving force behind brand growth and expansion. You will serve as the essential bridge between our suppliers and our sales team, turning brand strategies into reality. You’ll cultivate powerful relationships, manage complex portfolios, and lead the charge in achieving both company and supplier sales objectives.
Requirements:What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
Strategic Brand Leadership
- Be the Expert: Act as the primary point of contact for your assigned suppliers, maintaining expert-level knowledge of the portfolio and current promotions.
- Grow the Portfolio: Recruit and develop relationships with potential new suppliers and partner strategically to enhance long-term brand equity.
- Drive Distribution: Secure and expand distribution by setting benchmarks and calling on accounts independently or alongside sales teams.
Sales & Program Execution
- Program Development: Execute supplier brand programs, including establishing discount pricing, forecasting sales, and advising on inventory levels.
- Market Strategy: Execute brand standards and marketing plans, evaluate retail pricing, and analyze profitability for both the company and our retail partners.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage internal sales and supplier budgets.
- Presentation & Training: Conduct high-impact brand presentations at sales meetings and lead product training and tastings for retail staff.
Operational Excellence
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong ties with internal and external stakeholders, including key retailers and suppliers.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor brands for code date issues and collaborate with sales managers to move products through retail.
- Resource Coordination: Order and manage the availability and approval of point-of-sale (POS) materials.
- Special Projects: Take on unique projects as assigned by management to support business growth.
What You Bring (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- The Sales Edge: Polished presentation skills and a deep understanding of sales tactics, including the PROFIT steps of a sales call.
- Industry Savvy: Deep understanding of pricing, promotions, and profitability calculations. You must also maintain knowledge of state and federal alcohol regulations (legal drinking age, licensing, etc.).
- Tech Literacy: Proficiency in eoStar (route accounting software) and other industry applications.
- Leadership & Grit: An energetic, results-driven professional who can coach, motivate, and lead a team while staying composed under pressure.
- Adaptability: The ability to balance the competing needs of various stakeholders and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of beverage industry experience (on or off-premise) and previous sales experience is preferred.
- Background: Experience in Consumer Product Goods (CPG) and previous brand management or leadership experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Industry professional certifications are a plus.
