Retail Associate/Cashier at Tobacco Hut and Vape Sho p Inc – WARRENTON, Pennsylvania

The Retail Associate/Cashier is the face of Tobacco Hut. This role is responsible for providing

exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a deep

knowledge of our product inventory (including cigars, vaporizers, and accessories). The ideal

candidate is reliable, personable, and capable of maintaining a clean, organized storefront.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet every customer upon entry and provide expert recommendations based on their preferences and needs.
• Sales & Transactions: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and mobile payments accurately.
• Age Verification: Strictly follow legal requirements by verifying government-issued IDs for all age-restricted products.
• Inventory Management: Assist with receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are properly fronted and priced.
• Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and inviting environment by dusting displays, sweeping floors, and organizing the humidor.
• Loss Prevention: Stay alert to store activity to minimize shrinkage and ensure a safe shopping environment.

• Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse customer base.
• Math Skills: Ability to handle currency and make change quickly and accurately.
• Product Knowledge: Willingness to learn about various tobacco products, brands, and industry trends.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., boxes of inventory).
• Reliability: Must have dependable transportation and a consistent track record of punctuality.
