Automotive Parts Assistant/Detailer at PRESTON MANAGEMENT GROUP INC – Wilmington, Delaware

We are a busy, fast-paced collision center dedicated to high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Parts Assistant / Detailer. Assist Parts Department with ordering parts and detailing of vehicles

Vehicle Cleaning and Washing:

• Thoroughly clean and wash both the interior and exterior of vehicles, including windows, mirrors, and other surfaces.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets, upholstery, and other interior surfaces to remove stains and dirt.

Polishing and Waxing:

• Apply polishes, waxes, and other protective agents to enhance the appearance of the vehicle's exterior.
• Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a glossy finish.

Interior Detailing:

• Clean and condition leather and vinyl surfaces to maintain a fresh and appealing interior.
• Detail dashboard, door panels, and other interior components.

Exterior Detailing:

• Address scratches, dents, and other minor imperfections to restore the vehicle's exterior to like-new condition.
• Apply touch-up paint as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with Receiving, organizing, and managing parts inventory

· Verify incoming parts against repair orders for accuracy and damage

· Deliver parts to technicians and maintain a clean, organized parts area

· Return incorrect or damaged parts as needed

· Wash, clean, and detail vehicles before and after repairs

· Perform final quality checks to ensure vehicles are customer-ready

· Maintain cleanliness of the shop, work areas, and customer vehicles

· Support team members with general shop duties as needed

Qualifications:

· Strong attention to detail and organization skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods

· Basic automotive knowledge is a plus, but not required

· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
