This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling the internal IT function of a fast-growing, design-led technology organization. The Director of IT will oversee IT Operations, IT Engineering, and AI Enablement, ensuring global systems, infrastructure, and employee tooling are reliable, scalable, and future-ready. This position sits at the intersection of technology strategy, operational excellence, and employee experience, directly influencing how teams across the business work and collaborate. The role also plays a critical part in defining how AI is embedded into internal systems and workflows, driving the next evolution of intelligent IT operations. Working closely with senior leaders across Security, Legal, People, Finance, and Product, this leader will ensure IT is a true enabler of company-wide performance. Accountabilities:

Lead and scale IT Operations, IT Engineering, and AI Enablement functions, managing managers and senior individual contributors while building a high-performing and future-ready organization; define IT strategy and execution to ensure global infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security across distributed teams and office environments; establish and track IT performance metrics including system uptime, employee experience, service delivery efficiency, and incident response performance; design and execute an enterprise-wide AI enablement strategy in partnership with internal AI and engineering teams, embedding automation and intelligent workflows across IT systems; oversee IT vendor relationships, contracts, and budget allocation to ensure cost-effective and scalable tooling; collaborate with Security, Legal, Finance, and People teams to ensure compliance, governance, and operational alignment; serve as escalation point for major incidents, infrastructure programs, and cross-functional IT initiatives while driving continuous improvement and operational maturity.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in IT with at least 4–5 years in senior leadership roles managing multiple technical teams or functions; strong background in enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, SaaS ecosystems, endpoint management, and IT service management frameworks; proven experience scaling IT organizations in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments; demonstrated ability to lead or influence AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives within enterprise IT; strong strategic thinking with the ability to align IT systems with business objectives and operational needs; excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with experience working across executive-level teams; ability to manage complex priorities, drive change, and lead distributed teams; experience in modern SaaS or product-led environments is highly valued, along with exposure to security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
