California Mantel & Fireplace is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Fireplace Installers to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you'll transform blueprints and rough-ins into fully functional and aesthetically perfect gas and electric fireplaces. We are looking for craftspeoplenot just installerswho take immense pride in their work, hold safety as sacred, and can think critically when the unexpected arises. Key ResponsibilitiesInstall gas, electric, and outdoor fireplaces with precision and professionalism.
Ensure proper venting systems (Direct Vent and Vent-Free) are selected and safely routed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work siteleave no trace behind.
Communicate with homeowners, sales, and dispatch teams about progress, issues, and timelines.
Document work completed and identify any field changes or required adjustments.
Travel to job sites as needed, occasionally requiring roof access and attic work.
Minimum 45 years of hands-on construction experience, ideally in fireplace, HVAC, or related trades.
Deep working knowledge of gas fitting, venting systems, framing, and basic electrical.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy units safely; roofing access may be required.
Meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detailclean seams, level installs, quality finishes.
Excellent communication skills; must be professional, courteous, and responsive.
Strong math and measuring skills; accurate estimations and adjustments are critical.
Self-motivated and organizedplans daily tasks efficiently to maximize productivity.
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.
