Position Summary:
UNM-Los Alamos is seeking a person to serve as the Director of Business Operations. This position oversees the administrative and operational activities of the campus. This includes business and fiscal management, human resources, information systems, physical plant/facilities management, and related auxiliary services. Plans, oversees, and coordinates capital and operating expenditures, budgeting, and fiscal systems. Provides leadership in the cost-effective use of resources, administrative strategies, policies, and programs for the branch. Serves as a member of the branch senior administrative team.

- Master's degree in Business or related field
- Professional certifications, such as CPA or CMA
- Experience with accounting and business operations at HigherEducation institutions
- Ability to plan, implement, and administer financialinformation and control systems.
- Knowledge of Human Resources practices.
- Skill in business planning and management.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range ofconstituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to develop and implement creative revenue-generationplans, programs, and initiatives.
- Ability to research, analyze, and conceptualize long-terminformation systems needs on an organizational basis.
- Skills in employee development and performance management,including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Advanced project management and leadership skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the operationalcharacteristics and requirements of an academic branch campus.
