Providence Place in High Point NC is looking for a Social Worker who’s equal parts advocate, listener, organizer, and all‑around resident champion. You’ll support older adults in living their best lives — emotionally, socially, spiritually, and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and guide a Social Services program that truly supports residents and their families.
  • Build strong, friendly partnerships with teams across the community.
  • Help new residents find just the right place to call home.
  • Offer compassionate counseling to residents, families, and staff.
  • Keep documentation organized and meaningful — future-you will be proud.
  • Lead or support training that helps our teams grow and shine.
  • Stay on top of regulations and help keep us in tip-top compliance shape.
  • Support transitions between levels of care and keep families informed.
  • Join committees, projects, and initiatives that elevate resident care.

Education & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related human‑services field
    (sociology, psychology, gerontology, rehabilitation counseling, special education)
    AND at least 1 year of supervised social work experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a geriatric or long‑term care setting.
  • Strong communication skills — you’re great at connecting with all kinds of people.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management abilities.
  • Warm, empathetic, and grounded in professional boundaries.
  • A team player who brings positivity and collaboration to every interaction.
