About This Position

We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who can manage their time effectively. This role requires independence and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will involve a minimal amount of direct supervision.

  • Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and security systems.
  • Communication skills: The ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical personnel, and to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members and on-site users.
  • Problem-solving skills: The ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues and to find creative solutions to challenges that arise.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented with a passion to meet customer needs and company goals.
  • Provide call service support for our customers’ equipment by replacing defective components, installing new equipment, and troubleshooting issues at hand.
  • Use various testing tools to configure, repair, and diagnose problems within various communications systems.
  • Install alarm systems, CCTV, card access systems, structured cabling, fiber optics, networks, and workstations.
  • Perform and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Use power tools and basic tools such as a tone generator, network and phone cable testers, termination tools, and various communication tools.
  • Must be flexible and available to work evenings or weekends when needed.
  • Must be available to travel on short notice.
  • Requires physical tasks such as pulling cables, climbing into attics, and using lifts.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in information technology or equivalent certifications.
  • 2+ Years’ experience within the technology field
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of networking and troubleshooting.
  • Have a mechanical aptitude and ability to use various types of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to complete reports and documentation associated with job tasks.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
