Sawyer County Health & Human Services has an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Children’s Supportive Services Supervisor to help us fulfill our mission and improve childhood outcomes. In this role, you’ll be called upon to plan, direct, coordinate, and manage the day-to-day administration and oversight of the Children’s Long-Term Support and Birth-to-Three programs. Your ability to balance multiple projects and responsibilities will be valued, and no two days will look the same as you support your teams, provide subject matter expertise, and collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and leadership.
Your qualifications will include at least a bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services-related field. Experience in supervision and leadership, along with experience providing services in the Children’s Long-term Support Program or Birth-to-Three, is preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. New hires are required to hold a valid driver’s license, pass a pre-employment drug screening, and undergo a background check.

Title: Children’s Supportive Services Supervisor
Department: Sawyer County Health and Human Services

Position Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Health and Human Services Director, the Children’s Supportive Services Supervisor leads the Children’s Supportive Services Department within the Children, Youth & Families Division. The supervisor oversees the Children's Long-Term Support (CLTS) Program and the Birth-to-Three Program. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Wisconsin’s Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Medicaid Waiver Programs under Section 1915(c) of the Social Security Act and the Birth-to-Three Program under DHS Chapter 90.
As with all positions within the agency, it is the duty of the individual in this position to support the mission, vision, and values of the agency, to work in a coordinated manner with other employees, and to demonstrate professional and personal confidence in the service delivery model and approaches taken by the organization. The Children’s Supportive Services Supervisor is expected to integrate trauma-informed care while serving our communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Children’s Supportive Services (CLTS & Birth-to-Three)
· Leads, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff, ensuring adherence to departmental and county policies.
· Conducts case reviews, guides service planning, and upholds compliance with legal and best practice standards.
· Provide service coordination for Birth-to-Three or CLTS as determined by caseload needs.
· Fosters a family-centered philosophy, emphasizing client rights and strength-based approaches.
· Implements and monitors program policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
· Manages financial aspects, including waiver funds, contract spending, and budget monitoring in collaboration with fiscal departments.
· Oversees quality assurance, including Medicaid compliance, expenditure approvals, and response to audits and inquiries.
· Collaborates with agency director and other supervisors to coordinate services and processes involving eligible or potentially eligible children and families.
· Establishes relationships with community providers to develop and improve local resources for eligible children and families.
· Participates in professional development, trainings, and departmental improvement initiatives.
· Conducts regular reviews of case records and service plans.
· Implements quality measures and develops policies for Medicaid compliance.
· Addresses program, fiscal, and quality-related issues, including on-call duties for emergency situations.
· Ensures State and Federal mandates are met; provides mandated documents for State auditing.

Education and Experience:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work or a human service-related field is required.
