MEGA MACHINE SALES DIRECTOR

POSITION SNAPSHOT

In this role you will drive revenue growth for FlackTek’s MEGA industrial-scale mixing platform by building pipelines, opening strategic accounts, and closing complex capital equipment deals. You will lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial engagement through contracting, aligning technical solutions with business outcomes. You will engage across engineering, procurement, and executive levels to advance decisions and secure approvals. You will also position MEGA within the customer’s broader process and production ecosystem, helping deliver complete solutions through internal capabilities and external partnerships. This role plays a critical part in expanding MEGA adoption across key global markets through strategic account penetration and disciplined deal execution.

This role reports to the: General Manager

PRIMARY OUTCOMES

  • Consistent generation of qualified pipeline across target industries
  • Successful closure of large capital equipment deals valued between $250K and $5M+
  • Increase in number of qualified strategic account entry points
  • High conversion rate from demos and trials to closed revenue
  • Strong alignment between customer requirements and internal execution
  • Growth in MEGA platform adoption across key markets

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive complex capital equipment sales from initial engagement through close
  • Generate leads and qualify opportunities across target industries
  • Coordinate and execute customer demos and trials
  • Engage stakeholders on budget, authority, procurement path, timing, and risk
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for priority targets
  • Identify high-value industries and prioritize opportunities
  • Build vertical penetration strategies including ICPs and entry points
  • Establish competitive positioning and define win strategies
  • Own pipeline development through outreach, partnerships, and events
  • Position MEGA within full customer process workflows and production systems
  • Develop partnerships to deliver complete solutions including dispensing and automation
  • Partner with Marketing to refine messaging and ROI positioning
  • Communicate prerequisites and ensure they are acknowledged prior to PO acceptance and met prior to installation
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure all required information for successful delivery is defined prior to PO acceptance
  • Support pricing strategy including configurations and discounting logic
  • Communicate market needs and buyer requirements internally
  • Provide insights to improve sales process repeatability and effectiveness

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Experience:

  • 10+ years selling industrial-scale mixing or similar capital equipment
  • Proven success closing $250K–$5M+ capital system deals
  • Experience with engineered-to-order or configurable equipment
  • Track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of capital equipment procurement and approval processes
  • Ability to translate technical product capabilities into business value
  • Experience managing long, complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in specialty chemicals, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, coatings, or related industries
  • Global sales experience, particularly in Europe or Asia

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep familiarity with mixing technologies and process scale-up
  • Strong technical acumen in materials processing applications

WORK LOCATION, SCHEDULE & TRAVEL

Role Type: Full Time - Exempt

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm

Travel: Approximately 60% (70% domestic, 30% international)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation:

  • Annual Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000
  • Additional Compensation and incentives TBD
