About This Position
Tacoma Housing Authority (THA) is seeking an accomplished real estate and asset management leader to help steward a diverse and mission driven portfolio that strengthens communities across Tacoma. This is a high impact opportunity for a strategic and collaborative professional ready to influence major organizational priorities.
As a key member of THA’s Asset Management and Real Estate Development Department, you will serve as the Director’s senior deputy—helping guide long-term planning, lead complex development and recapitalization initiatives, and ensure THA’s assets remain financially strong, sustainable, and aligned with our commitment to service and community impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide integrated leadership across asset management and real estate development functions to advance THA’s strategic objectives.
- Oversee portfolio sustainability, financial performance, capital planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement asset management goals, policies, operating strategies, and long-term financing plans.
- Review and analyze financial reports, budgets, variances, KPIs, and underwriting to recommend operational or financial adjustments.
- Lead partnership, lender, investor, and regulatory relationships, ensuring compliance with all applicable funding and reporting requirements.
- Oversee property management operations for THA-managed and third-party managed properties, ensuring performance, maintenance, and service quality.
- Lead or oversee recapitalization projects, including financial modeling, feasibility, financing, design, construction, and transition to operations.
- Represent THA with public agencies, neighborhood groups, and community stakeholders, communicating goals and project progress.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth transitions throughout development, construction, and operational phases.
- Supervise, mentor, and support assigned staff, building a high performing, collaborative team.

- Experienced in affordable multifamily development, with proven success managing projects through financing, design, and construction.
