Location: Prince George

Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

The Opportunity: The Intensive Youth Social Worker is responsible for providing meaningful and outcome-focused clinical services within the context of a youth’s lifestyle and family environment, thereby promoting safety, holistic wellness and stability for the young person

  • Provides one-on-one, strength-based holistic and culturally relevant services to children and youth on assigned caseload.
  • Conducts a needs-based assessment with the guardian and care team.
  • Supports cultural planning and learning and facilitates healthy relations and contact with family and community.
  • Utilize varying intervention techniques when addressing youth needs;
  • Facilitate group work that focuses on life skills, cultural knowledge and advocacy

What You Will Bring to The Role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Psychology or Education or significant progress towards obtaining
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in a social service setting
  • Experience working in a leadership capacity with youth-at-risk
  • Non-violent crisis intervention training

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $39.75 to $51.4710 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
