The starting salary for this role is $76,0000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the role:

At Pen Air, our Branch Manager team consists of highly motivated and professional leaders who take pride in developing an engaged and proficient team eager to enhance the lives of our members. Our Branch Managers are the foundation for the success of their branch teams, ensuring a cohesive team environment that fosters positive and open communication. You will provide direction, set expectations, and effectively communicate with your team, coworkers, and members.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Development Develop and maintain a highly engaged team that lives our core values. Coach, train, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure exceptional member service. Promote a sales and service culture to enhance members' financial well-being. Foster positive communication and teamwork within the branch. Emphasize member service through daily tasks, staff meetings, and training sessions. Proactively educate members on emerging and existing self-serve technology and digital solutions such as mobile/online banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture, and ITM services, achieving high levels of member adoption. Encourage and support the team in meeting referral objectives by identifying and recommending financial solutions to members. Support branch supervisors as needed.
  • Performance Management: Provide timely, ongoing, and consistent direction on performance standards and expectations of team members. Ensure that high-quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained. Identify performance problems and implement corrective actions as needed. Set clear performance goals, including referral objectives, for the team and ensure they are met through effective coaching and motivation.
  • Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain and share in-depth knowledge of financial products and services. Ensure compliance with regulations, operational policies, and procedures. Oversee audits and reviews of branch operations.
  • Member Service: Assist members with complex service issues and any sensitive or difficult matters. Resolve member issues by following procedures and processes, using initiative and judgment in the absence of specific direction from management. Provide transactional and platform support as needed. Educate members on self-serve technology and digital solutions, ensuring a high level of member adoption and satisfaction. Actively identify and recommend financial products and services to meet members' needs and help achieve referral objectives.
  • Professional Communication Maintain professional, respectful, and persuasive communication. Exhibit a courteous attitude when interacting with internal and external members.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: (1) A two-year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing, or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills:

  • Excellent leadership skills. Proven ability to achieve goals, including meeting referral objectives, and drive team performance.
