POSITION SUMMARY: The Overnight Services team member serves as the primary contact for guests during overnight hours, supporting front desk operations, completing basic nightly audit functions, maintaining cleanliness of public areas, and assisting with guest transportation. This role requires a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can work independently while delivering strong guest service and ensuring smooth overnight operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.

Guest Service (30%):
  • Greet and assist all guests in a professional, courteous manner
  • Register guests into computer system, verifying registrations, address and credit information
  • In the absence of the Auditor complete nightly audit of hotel financial transactions, balancing room charges, cash receipts, and credit card postings.
  • Handle guest complaints, requests, and emergencies in accordance with hotel policies
  • Remain available to guests at all times, providing assistance and general information as needed

Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their supervisor or General Manager.

Public Areas & Property Support (30%):
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas including lobby, restrooms, hallways, entrances, and shared guest spaces
  • Perform ongoing touch-ups throughout the shift to ensure a clean and orderly environment
  • Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of exterior entrances and parking areas
  • Assist with light operational tasks such as stocking supplies and organizing storage areas
  • Report maintenance needs to the appropriate team
  • Assist with guest requests such as delivering items, providing directions, or addressing basic room concerns.
Guest Transportation & Driving (30%):
  • Provide transportation for guests using the hotel shuttle/van as needed
  • Ensure safe, professional, and timely transport of guests to and from designated locations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hotel vehicle
  • Follow all company driving policies and ensure proper documentation is maintained
  • Assist guests with luggage and provide a positive arrival and departure experience

Other (10%):

  • Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information for co-workers and leadership team
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts
  • May be required to train on other shifts for coverage as needed
  • May participate in the drivers program or other hotel-related duties as assigned

Additional tasks may be assigned, modified or changed as no employee has any inherent right to any particular job or authority.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is beneficial but not required. On-the-job training will be provided
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office is advantageous
  • Any previous experience in a front desk, reception, or related role is a plus but not mandatory
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
  • Regular and reliable attendance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to stand on feet throughout work hours
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs
