Accountabilities

  • Identify and resolve systemic access barriers, designing scalable workflows and process improvements in partnership with internal operations teams.
  • Champion CRM, reporting platforms, and data infrastructure to optimize field reporting, account tiering, and pull-through tracking.
  • Integrate AI-enabled tools for predictive account targeting, automated reporting, and workflow optimization to enhance team performance and patient access outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong field presence (~75% travel) to model best-in-class HCP engagement, escalate complex access challenges, and ensure compliant, value-added interactions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Sales, MSLs, Marketing, and Patient Access teams to align strategy, provide field intelligence, and support execution of access initiatives and patient support programs.
  • Prepare and present actionable insights, access barrier analyses, and account-level recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech Market Access, Reimbursement, or Field Access leadership.
  • Deep expertise in pharmacy benefit management, specialty pharmacy operations, prior authorization processes, step therapy, and formulary management.
  • Direct experience in oncology and/or rare disease therapeutic areas, with a strong understanding of complex patient access challenges.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop field-based teams, with demonstrated success in performance management and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in CRM and field reporting platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva).
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and executive presence, with the ability to influence both field teams and senior leadership.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time and reside within 50 miles of a major hub airport to support national travel demands.
  • Preferred: Experience with hub services, copay assistance programs, limited distribution networks, and AI-enabled tools to optimize team efficiency.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary: $240,000 – $270,000 per year (location and experience dependent)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous paid time-off and holiday schedule
  • 401(k) retirement plan with competitive company match
  • Medical & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Up to $150 monthly cell phone reimbursement
  • Employee Assistance Program
