Floor Technician (Commercial) – Keep Our Spaces Shining!

We need you as a part of our top tier team! Are you a master of the buffer, a pro with the burnisher, and passionate about keeping environments spotless? We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team! In this role, you'll be the expert behind clean, safe, and polished surfaces—playing a vital part in infection control and first impressions. We are trying to urgently fill this position.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain all types of flooring (tile, carpet, wood, etc.) in clean, polished condition
• Perform stripping, buffing, waxing, and carpet extraction using professional-grade equipment
• Follow strict infection control, safety procedures, and PPE protocols
• Handle and mix chemicals correctly while wearing proper protective gear
• Clean glass surfaces, windows, and mirrors with precision and care
• Prepare areas for floor work and restore them to spotless condition after each task
• Collaborate with your team and support facility cleanliness goals
• Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned—every surface counts!

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in floor care and maintenance
• Must have a clean background check

Experience operating and maintaining floor cleaning/finishing equipment, including but not limited to:

• Floor buffers and burnishers
• Water extraction machines
• Carpet cleaning equipment

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of cleaning products and their appropriate use
• Ability to follow safety and security procedures, including proper PPE usage and infection control protocols
• Capacity to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. or more and perform physical labor
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor and ability to work well independently or as part of a team
• Ability to follow supervisory instructions and adhere to the chain of command

What You Bring:

• Proven experience operating and maintaining floor care machines (buffers, burnishers, extractors, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of chemical safety, PPE use, and infection control
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform hands-on, labor-intensive work
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clean background check required
• Open availability, including weekends and evenings
