As a Data Scientist, you will work in a remote, collaborative environment, focusing on data structuring, preprocessing, and analytics to support business and BI initiatives. You will partner with analytics teams to ensure data reliability, interpretability, and usability for reporting and decision-making. The position emphasizes practical problem-solving and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and standard data science techniques. You will engage in tasks ranging from exploratory data analysis to feature engineering, modeling, and time series analysis. - Ensure data integrity, structure, and usability for analytics, BI, and business reporting purposes
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for analysis
- Apply standard data science techniques including regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to translate data into actionable recommendations
- Document data sources, lineage, and processing steps to maintain transparency and reproducibility
- Support downstream reporting and analytics by providing reliable, interpretable datasets
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (open to new grads with strong project experience)
- 3+ years of relevant experience preferred, with hands-on SQL and Python skills (assessments required)
- Deep understanding of data structures, relationships, quality, lineage, and consistency
- Familiarity with exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, feature engineering, regression, classification, clustering, and time series modeling
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in remote and collaborative environments
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical insights into actionable recommendations
