This leadership role offers the opportunity to build and oversee the company’s internal legal and compliance functions from the ground up, shaping governance, risk management, and regulatory strategy. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing actionable guidance on corporate strategy, legal risk mitigation, and global regulatory compliance. The role spans multiple jurisdictions, requiring oversight of licensing, reporting, and adherence to international iGaming standards. You will also manage complex contracts, external legal partners, and any dispute resolution processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-growing, dynamic environment and brings a combination of strategic thinking, hands-on legal expertise, and strong leadership to drive long-term business success.
- Establish, structure, and lead the internal legal department, setting policies and procedures to protect the business
- Advise the executive team on corporate strategy, risk management, and compliance-related decisions
- Monitor and ensure compliance with international laws, iGaming regulations, and industry standards across multiple jurisdictions
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and critical legal documents
- Manage litigation, arbitration, regulatory hearings, or alternative dispute resolution processes
- Build and maintain relationships with regulators and external law firms, implementing cost-effective legal strategies
- Track and analyze global legislative changes, providing actionable guidance to inform business decisions
- Valid law degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 10 years of progressive legal experience, including substantial hands-on iGaming exposure
- Deep expertise in global gaming laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks, with extensive offshore licensing experience
- Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead legal teams managing complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, balancing business objectives with legal risk
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to translate complex legal issues into actionable advice
