- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to translate requirements into high-impact technical plans.
- Partner across teams to align on architecture, integrate platform capabilities, and unblock cross-team initiatives.
- Own technical quality: write design documents, make key architectural decisions, review code, and stay close to the systems you ship.
- Tackle ambiguous problems, make pragmatic trade-offs, and adopt new technologies or strategies as needed.
- Enhance production resilience through strong observability, incident response, and remediation.
- Mentor and support other engineers through knowledge-sharing, code reviews, and feedback.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based production systems.
- Strong programming skills in modern languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java) with adherence to best coding practices.
- Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience building reliable backend systems and distributed services with attention to security and performance.
- Ability to work in on-call rotation schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes, DynamoDB, developer tools, internal platforms, or hands-on side projects demonstrating engineering passion.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary with potential equity and performance-based bonuses.
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match.
- Flexible vacation, paid personal time off, and generous parental leave.
- Remote-first work with occasional travel for team or project meetings.
- Opportunities for professional development, skill growth, and mentoring.
- Inclusive and collaborative work environment that supports innovation and ownership.
