The Patient Sitter plays an important role in supporting patient safety and comfort while they are in the hospital. You will help ensure patients are monitored, supported, and cared for in a safe and respectful environment.
This role reports to the UHR Director.

- Patient observation and safety awareness
- Communication with patients and healthcare teams

Essential Job Duties:
- Observe and monitor patients to help ensure their safety and well-being
- Communicate respectfully and compassionately with patients and care team members
- Assist with maintaining a safe patient environment
- Understand basic bed functions, exit alarms, and room safety features
- Notify nursing staff of patient needs or changes in condition
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous healthcare or patient-facing experience preferred
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to remain attentive and responsive during patient monitoring
Licenses / Certifications:
- Additional hospital-based training provided upon hire
