As a Mechanical Engineer, you play a critical role in turning customer requirements into fully realized equipment designs. Your expertise ensures our custom wrapping machines are not only functional, but efficient, reliable, and tailored to each application. From concept through production, you help bring ideas to life and keep projects moving forward.
What You’ll Do
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentation using spec sheets and sales orders
- Design and customize mechanical components and assemblies for packaging equipment
- Develop part models, assembly models, and detailed drawings
- Build system BOMs, floorplans, and pneumatic schematics
- Utilize CAD and Excel-based engineering tools to complete designs
- Support equipment through the manufacturing process by troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues
- Partner with sales, procurement, manufacturing, and service teams to provide technical support
- Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects
- Occasionally travel to customer sites for troubleshooting and system support (less than 5%)
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience designing and troubleshooting industrial mechanical equipment
- Strong root cause analysis skills across electro/mechanical systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
- Self-starter with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in creating pneumatic schematics, floorplans, and mechanical drawings
- Solid understanding of mechanical theory and industry practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with SolidWorks, DraftSight or AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Desired Experience
- Experience designing OEM equipment
- Strong 2D drafting and 3D modeling skills
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Continuous improvement experience
- Hands-on, adaptable mindset
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required
