About This Position

JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for supporting accurate inventory management within the warehouse or production facility. This role assists with inventory tracking, cycle counts, data entry, and maintaining accurate records to ensure proper stock levels and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts to ensure system accuracy.
  • Assist with receiving and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Record inventory transactions in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies or variances.
  • Maintain organized inventory storage locations.
  • Assist with labeling, stocking, and organizing materials.
  • Support production and warehouse teams by ensuring materials are available and properly documented.
  • Generate basic inventory reports as requested by supervisors.
  • Follow company safety procedures and inventory control policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, data entry).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Previous warehouse or inventory experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or barcode scanners.
  • Forklift certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Warehouse and production floor environment.
  • May require standing, walking, lifting, and working around moving equipment.
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Office and travel have moderate noise levels. Machine/Product demonstrations and customer visits can have loud noise levels.
