About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for client education, transition planning and milieu supervision/activities within all Behavioral Health facilities; Dimond Willow Sober Living, Serenity House and/or Central Peninsula Care Transitions. Peer Support staff model recovery and assists clients in planning for the stresses associated with positive living. This position is responsible for promoting a positive community view of recovery. The Peer Support staff supervises clients during the daytime and overnight hours and may be required to transport clients to program activities. Occasionally prepares all meals served and is responsible for knowing all relevant food safety codes. Oversees the overall cleanliness and safety of the treatment center. Able to work as a team to accomplish all tasks.
Peer Support, Floats are required to have a high level of flexibility and adaptability and are required to be competent to perform Peer Support duties at all facilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid State of Alaska Driver License
- Food Worker Card from the AK Dept. of Environmental Conservation within 30 days of employment
- BLSP(CPR) from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
- Peer Support Professional I Certification from the Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health within 1 year of employment
