About This Position

Description:

Position Overview: The Title and Lien Specialist will assist in all functions of consumer & commercial loan titles and UCC operations. This role will serve as an expert in title and UCC management and reporting. This role will also provide the highest level of service for members needing to perform maintenance on their loans.?

What You Will Do:

  • Review and check-in physical titles received via mail
  • Review and check-in e-titles received via third-party vendor portal
  • Assist internal departments, vendors, and members with lien releases and title updates as requested
  • Responsible for conducting title and UCC audits to ensure accurate information is on file for consumer and commercial loans
  • Release titles/UCC's in a timely manner after payoff
  • Maintain accurate collateral information in core system
  • Manage filed UCC's to ensure lien position is accurate
  • Review title tracking reports and conduct audit for multiple loan programs
  • Generate loan-specific reports from core system as requested by management
  • Answer inquiries from internal and external sources and provide proper documentation through appropriate channels
  • Manage incoming and outbound phone calls from members to the department phone queue
  • Resolve assigned tickets meeting Service Level Agreements
Requirements:

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree required
  • Six months experience working at a financial institution is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of core banking systems, phone and ticketing systems, and loan servicing systems to complete tasks
  • Basic knowledge of loan servicing compliance requirements

Reports to

  • Loan Servicing Manager

Environmental and Physical Activity Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching and lifting (up to 25 pounds). Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motion activities are also required. Must be able to read print and computer-based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted indoors at controlled degrees of temperature.
