Welder/Fabricator at Feldkamp Enterprises – Cincinnati, Ohio

General Description:

MetalCraft, a Marsden Holding Company, is a high-end custom metal fabrication shop with experience designing and crafting custom range hoods, cabinets, countertops, architectural elements, furniture and extras. We are seeking a skilled detailed-oriented Welder/Fabricator Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their welding and fabrication skills while working on unique and challenging projects. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of MIG and TIG welding, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in MIG and TIG welding of various metals, including stainless steel and aluminum
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine job specifications
• Participate in layout and fitting of materials prior to welding and fabrication
• Use a variety of hand tools for grinding, fitting, and finishing
• Operate machinery including press brake, water jet, sheet roller, and other shop equipment
• Contribute to high-end custom metal fabrication projects with a focus on precision and quality
• Create and follow cut lists to ensure efficient use of materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols
• Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to meet deadlines
• Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve fabrication or fitting issues

Qualifications:

• Basic proficiency with TIG and MIG welding techniques
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with metal layout and measurement techniques
• Experience using hand tools and metal fabrication machinery (Press Brake, Water Jet, Rollers) preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced fabricators
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
• For safety reasons, basic English proficiency is required
• A pre-employment drug screen is required

Preferred Skills (a plus):

• Experience with creating cut lists from drawings or layouts
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in a fabrication environment

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
