Position Overview

The Marketing Assistant supports the firm’s marketing and brand development initiatives by assisting with content creation, social media management, event coordination, and general administrative marketing tasks. This role plays a key part in the execution of the firm’s content strategy by producing, editing, and organizing high-quality multimedia content across digital platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining a consistent content pipeline that supports social media, website growth, and marketing campaigns, ensuring all assets meet brand standards and are delivered on schedule.

This is a full-time, in-office role based in the VA, MD, or NJ office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and eager to support a fast-paced, collaborative marketing team within a mission-driven legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Content Support

Create and edit content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and the company website, that educate and inform the public about legal topics and services offered by the firm. Ensuring that content is compliant with legal advertising rules. Support development of marketing materials, including newsletters, announcements, and internal communications.Build graphics, visual assets, and branded marketing materials in English and Spanish for social media and digital campaigns. Edit short-form and long-form video content, including educational, promotional, and attorney-focused videos.Assist in filming and producing video content with attorneys and internal teams.Develop raw content (recordings, notes, ideas) into polished, platform-ready assets. Coordinate visual and written content with internal teams.

Video & Multimedia Editing 

Edit video content into multiple formats (short-form clips, reels, long-form segments). Ensure visual and brand consistency across materials, and add captions, graphics, branding elements, and basic motion design. Optimize video content for performance across different platforms.  Coordination & Workflow Support 

Maintain organized libraries of content, video footage, graphics, and brand assets. Implement file naming conventions and storage systems for easy retrieval. Track content status from creation to publication. Support the Senior Marketing Coordinator with publishing timelines. Support campaign launches and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to amplify campaigns and firm announcements.Events & Outreach

Assist with planning and coordination of firm events, networking activities, and community outreach initiatives.Help track RSVPs, logistics, and event follow-up communications.Support outreach efforts with external partners and organizations.

Qualifications:

Must be proficient or fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.1-2 years of experience in content creation, or marketing/communications (internships included).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media platformsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
