This role is a senior-level, customer-facing sales position focused on driving growth across a complex storage and data solutions portfolio. The Storage Sales Specialist is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong pipelines, and closing high-value deals within assigned territories. Working closely with account managers, presales teams, and channel partners, the role blends technical expertise with strategic sales execution. It requires a deep understanding of enterprise storage solutions and the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value for customers. Operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, the position involves engaging with stakeholders up to executive level. It is ideal for a highly autonomous sales professional who thrives on building relationships, shaping deals, and expanding market presence.
- Drive sales of storage products, services, and solutions within assigned territory, industry, or customer accounts.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
- Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring strong deal progression and forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborate with account managers, presales engineers, and channel partners to support end-to-end sales cycles.
- Engage with customers, including senior and C-level stakeholders, to position complex storage solutions effectively.
- Lead proposal development, pricing discussions, negotiations, and deal closure activities.
- Assess technical and commercial feasibility of opportunities to qualify or disqualify deals.
- Execute go-to-market and marketing campaigns to generate demand and strengthen pipeline momentum.
- Communicate ROI and business value of storage solutions, linking technology to customer outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
- 6+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally within enterprise technology or storage solutions.
- Strong expertise in storage technologies, including data lifecycle management, backup, ransomware protection, and hybrid solutions.
- Proven success working in indirect/channel sales environments.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to perform product demonstrations and explain complex solutions clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas and manage large, complex deal cycles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technical solutions to financial and operational value.
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Competitive base salary combined with performance-based sales compensation.
- Total target compensation range (at 100% attainment): up to approximately $221,000 – $429,000 (location-dependent).
