Job Description
Fiber Drop Coordinator | Hybrid (Canada) | RFNOW Inc.
Are you the kind of person who thrives on keeping a dozen plates spinning — and somehow makes it look easy? Do you love turning a chaotic schedule into a smooth-running operation? If you're nodding, we'd love to meet you.
RFNOW is bringing fast, reliable fiber internet to homes across Canada — and our Fiber Drop Coordinators are the people who make it actually happen. You'll be the bridge between homeowners getting their first taste of high-speed internet, the field crews bringing it to their doorstep, and the project teams keeping it all on track.
What You'll Do Day-to-DayYou'll be the heartbeat of our drop installation operation — coordinating, communicating, and problem-solving in real time. A typical day might include:
- Scheduling fiber drop installations and matching the right crew to the right job
- Being the friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for homeowners with questions or access concerns
- Dispatching drop crews and install crews to keep projects moving and SLAs on track
- Monitoring job progress and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
- Keeping clean, accurate records of installations, permits, and customer interactions
- Solving scheduling conflicts and field surprises before they become real problems
- Coordinating daily with construction, splice, and install teams so everyone's rowing in the same direction
We care more about the right mindset than a perfect résumé — but here's what tends to make people successful in this role:
- Experience in telecommunications, construction coordination, or FTTH projects (a real plus)
- Sharp organizational skills and a knack for juggling multiple things without dropping any
- Excellent communication — you can chat with a homeowner and dispatch a crew in the same breath
- Confidence managing several contractors and deadlines at the same time
- Strong customer service instincts and a calm head when things get busy
- Comfort with Microsoft Office; bonus points for project management or dispatch software experience
- Familiarity with fiber construction practices and drop installation processes (we can teach the rest)
- Past experience working with drop crews or subcontractors
- Familiarity with rural builds and homeowner coordination (a big part of what we do)
- Working knowledge of locates, trenching, and underground drops
- Flexible hours that flex with project demands
- Competitive salary based on your experience
- Benefits package (where applicable)
- Real room to grow in one of the fastest-expanding industries in the country
